Date of the premiere of next generation package Pivotal CRM - Sedna has been already announced.
Pivotal Global Technical Support has just informed about the date when the Sedna platform release will be available for existing customers to order. The intended date is the end of December 2007 what is a major change in comparison to original term of releasing new version of the package which was the end of second quarter of 2007.
Pivotal GTS defined major milestones connected with a production of the next generation Pivotal CRM’s products:
Drop 1: .NET PBS Proxy (completed) - implementation of a complete .NET API on the Pivotal Business Server.
Drop 2: UI Design (completed) - implementation of a smart client shell, Windows Forms, and support for .NET-based client-side scripting.
Drop 3: Navigation and Email (March 07) - implementation of email integration foundations, navigation structures, security and user management structures, as well as advanced forms.
Drop 4: Office Integration and Searches (April 07) - implementation of MAPI store, new portal structure, personalization logic and new search logic.
Drop 5: Migration (July 07) - verification of PIM (tasks and calendaring), migration, implementation of Help system
Beta Program: (starting September 07) - 10-12 customers and/or partners will be selected by Pivotal to participate in the Sedna Beta, which will involve testing of migration, as well as customization and end user functionality.
Availability: (December 07) - existing customers and partners will be able to order the Sedna platform products from the Pivotal Customer and Partner portal.
