Kompatybilność z IE 7

CDC Software poinformowało o postępie prac nad zapewnieniem kompatybilności pomiędzy platformą Pivotal CRM 5.9 a przeglądarką Internet Explorer 7 Niestety kompatybilność nadal nie jest zapewniona.

This product bulletin is an update to the maintenance releases designed to deliver compatibility between Pivotal CRM and the following products:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (IE7)
  • Microsoft Windows Vista (Business Edition, Ultimate Edition and Enterprise Edition)
  • Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and web components)
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2 - provides compatibility with Microsoft Vista
  • Crystal Reports XI (CRXI r2 SP2) - Business Objects has elected not to provide CRX compatibility with Microsoft Vista

CDC Software was initially targeting the Q2 timeframe for general availability. However, due to the complexity of adapting Pivotal CRM to a number of fundamental application and platform changes introduced by Microsoft the releases have been delayed.

A Change in Approach

Like many Enterprise software vendors, CDC Software is encountering a number of issues creating compatibility with the latest release of Microsoft’s flagship products.

As reported in a June 2007 Pivotal CRM Product Bulletin, CDC Software continues to work closely with Microsoft to resolve compatibility issues between IE7 and Pivotal Rich Client introduced by Microsoft’s move to conform more closely to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards.

In order to speed delivery, CDC Software will deliver the compatibility releases in two separate vehicles:

  • A maintenance release covering IE7, Vista, Exchange 2007, SQL Server 2005 SP2 and CRXI compatibility targeted for delivery in early Q407
  • A maintenance release covering Office 2007 compatibility to be created following the completion of the above-listed release.

Pivotal Web Services Generator - Resolved issue where access errors occurred while deploying the generated Web Services on an IIS box without a local installation of Pivotal Lifecycle Server.

Pivotal FS 5.9 - MMD 2007 r2.0 is not compatible with Financial Services r5.9.

Pivotal MarketFirst Roadmap

Podczas niedawnej konferencji Pivotal Customer Summit 2007, CDC zaprezentowała plany rozwoju aplikacji Pivotal MarketFirst. Poniżej zestawienie dostępnych informacji o tym czego możemy się spodziewać w kolejnych wersjach narzędzia.

W maju 2007 wydana została wersja 5.10, której głównym celem było usprawnienie obszaru integracji Pivotal MarketFirst z pozostałymi aplikacjami Pivotal CRM.
 
Na pierwszy kwartał 2008 roku planowane jest wydanie wersji MarketFirst o nazwie kodowej “vNext”. Główne cele postawione tej wersji to:

  • Usprawnienie intefejsu użytkownika
  • Usprawnienie procesu administracji oraz rozwiązywania problemów
  • Usprawnienie “system robustness”

Następną planowaną wersją jest Pivotal MarketFirst vN+1, której głównym celem jest dostarczenie nowych funkcjonalności. Główne planowane obszary rozwoju to:

  • Dostosowanie Pivotal Marketfirst do obsługi technologii Web 2.0
  • Zarządzanie Zasobami Marketingowymi
  • Odświerzenie architektury
  • Nowe narzędzia analityczne
  • Integracja z narzędziami klasy web analytics
  • Integracja z narzędziami klasy content management
  • Wprowadzenie funkcjonalności GIS/Mapping

CDC zapowiada, iż podczas prac nad nowymi wersjami, zamierza ściśle współpracować z klientami, celem zdobycia informacji zwrotnej na każdym możliwym poziomie.

Pivotal Sync Stream 5.9 Service Pack 3

Service Pack dla Pivotal Sync Stream 5.9 został opublikowany przez CDC Software. 

Service Pack dodaje kilka nowych funkcjonalności do narzędzia Outlook Synchronization Manager, jak również naprawia szereg zgłoszonych usterek.

Instalacja Service Pack’a niezbędna jest dla poprawnego funkcjonowania produktu LinkPoint for Pivotal CRM, umożliwiającego integrację e-mail z serwerem Lotus Notes i Novell GroupWise.
