During a recent Pivotal Customer Summit 2007 conference, CDC has presented schemes of development Pivotal MarketFirst application. Below you can find a specification of available information on what is supposed to be found in succesive versions of the tool.

In May, 2007, a 5.10 version has been released. Its main aim was to improve the area of integration of Pivotal MarketFirst and other Pivotal CRM applications.
It is planned to release in the first quarter of 2008 a MarketFirst version with a code name “vNext”. The main aims of this version are:

• Improving user’s interface
• Improving a process of administration and of solving the problems
• Improving “system robustness”

The next version in roadmap is Pivotal MarketFirst vN+1, which principle aim will be to deliver new functionalities. The main schemed development areas are:

• Pivotal MarketFirst adaptation to Web 2.0 technology
• Marketing Resources Management
• Refreshment of architecture
• New analityc tools
• Integration with the tools of web analytics class
• Integration with the tools of content management class
• Introduction of GIS/Mapping functionality

CDC promises a strict cooperation with customers during the works on the new versions, which will enable the acquisition of a return information on any possible level.

Na pierwszy kwartał 2008 roku planowane jest wydanie wersji MarketFirst o nazwie kodowej “vNext”. Główne cele postawione tej wersji to:

• Usprawnienie intefejsu użytkownika
• Usprawnienie procesu administracji oraz rozwiązywania problemów
• Usprawnienie “system robustness”

Następną planowaną wersją jest Pivotal MarketFirst vN+1, której głównym celem jest dostarczenie nowych funkcjonalności. Główne planowane obszary rozwoju to:

• Dostosowanie Pivotal Marketfirst do obsługi technologii Web 2.0
• Zarządzanie Zasobami Marketingowymi
• Odświerzenie architektury
• Nowe narzędzia analityczne
• Integracja z narzędziami klasy web analytics
• Integracja z narzędziami klasy content management
• Wprowadzenie funkcjonalności GIS/Mapping

CDC zapowiada, iż podczas prac nad nowymi wersjami, zamierza ściśle współpracować z klientami, celem zdobycia informacji zwrotnej na każdym możliwym poziomie.

To ensure a proper coopoeration of Pivotal CRM system with new version of Pivotal MarketFirst 5.10 you need to install a proper hotfix.

Hotfixes for Pivotal CRM v.5.7 and 5.9 have just been published at Pivotal Customer/Partner Portal websites.
Published hotfixes consist of:

• for version 5.9 - Pivotal Application/CMS 5.9 HF04
• for version 5.7 - Pivotal Application/CMS 5.7 HF09

Pivotal MarketFirst v. 5.10 is already available. CDC Software has informed about providing a new version of system for marketing campaigns’ automation.

Simplified Integration Framework
Pivotal MarketFirst r5.10 provides a new, simplified integration framework that eases the integration process with Pivotal CRM. The new integration console simplifies the task of configuring and administering integration related activities. The enhanced integration console also minimizes the need to customize AppServer Rules and edit XML files.

Access to Pivotal CRM data
Pivotal MarketFirst r5.10 offers you the ability to insert a Pivotal CRM Active Search into your Pivotal MarketFirst query so you can create segments using Pivotal CRM data. What’s more, you can also browse and insert Pivotal CRM data into your Pivotal MarketFirst documents.

Using MarketFirst data within Pivotal CRM
Pivotal MarketFirst r5.10 allows Pivotal CRM users to seamlessly track a contact’s MarketFirst marketing interactions and surveys.

Easier Access to Logs
Pivotal MarketFirst provides you a Log viewer with a wide range of functionality that makes accessing logs easier.
